Yet the current ‘levelling up’ debate ignores the deep\, structural causes of this: from a system that hordes power in Westminster\, to an unrepresentative House of Commons that struggles to see the big picture. \nBefore becoming First Minister of Wales and being elected to the Senedd in 2011\, Mark Drakeford served as a South Glamorgan County Councillor and was Professor of Social Policy and Applied Social Sciences at Cardiff University. Having lead Wales through the pandemic\, he will share his ideas on how democratic reform of Westminster can help save the Union\, address inequality and create a healthier political culture. \nHow can Proportional Representation\, devolution and democratic reform form a central part of Labour’s programme for rebuilding Britain?
