Unions have been campaigning for years to push the government to deliver higher pay and stronger workers’ rights. And we’re closer than ever to delivering transformative change for working people. \nThe Government’s plan to Make Work Pay is making its way through parliament and could become law later this year. This plan was developed with unions and would be the biggest upgrade of workers’ rights in a generation. \nThis shows the difference that unions make\, delivering higher pay and stronger workers’ rights in Westminster. And unions are making work pay up and down the country too – union members earn tens of thousands more than non-union members over their working lives. Union members have won significant pay rises in both the public and private sectors in recent years.
