With politicians like Donald Trump, Victor Orban and Boris Johnson taking unbridled power under winner-takes-all systems, it’s time for a look at how first past the post hands power to extremists.
Join us for our fourth Roadshow event, featuring Billy Bragg, MPs Rachael Maskell and Stephen Kinnock and LCER’s Maria Iacovou – chaired by Compass’ Frances Foley. We’ll be discussing why First Past the Post no longer offers protection from extremism, and how the far right can be defeated under Proportional Representation.
