Making a Constitution: The view from Chile and Ecuador – online

Chile and Ecuador have recently gone through the process of writing new national constitutions.

We’ll be hearing from two experts:

Dr Gonzalo Delamaza: Sociologist at the Catholic University of Chile, visiting professor at Harvard and the University of Lisbon and director of the Popular Participation Secretariat of the Chilean Constitutional Convention between 2021 and 2022.

Norman Wray: Former Editor of the Political section of Diario El Comercio de Quito, member of the Ecuadorian National Assembly, campaigner for indigenous rights, Ecuadorian Presidential candidate, President of the Governing Council of the Galapagos Islands, Juris Doctor and University Lecturer in Constitutional law and State Theory.
