As we enter this General Election year, Sefton & West Lancs MVM will be doing all we can to persuade our local MPs that our First Past the Post voting system must change. We believe every vote count should count. That would lead to a better way of running our country and help tackle disillusionment with politics.
What better place to start than a meeting with Patrick Hurley, the Labour prospective parliamentary candidate for Southport. Patrick will be our guest at our first meeting this year on 13 February at 7.30pm via Zoom. This will give us a chance to discuss his views on voting reform as he attempts to win this swing seat. A big turnout would be great, especially if you live in Southport. This is your chance to push the case for proportional representation and show that there is public demand for PR. Patrick will be keen to hear your views.
