Potteries Chartist Festival – North Staffordshire
A festival organised by the People's History Association of North Staffordshire and supported by North Staffs TUC honouring the Chartist radicals of 1842 and the 'Potteries Peterloo' which saw Josiah Heapy shot by soldiers many more injured and 142 people arrested with 54 transported to Australia. A family friendly day, the event will have stalls, music, poetry, speeches and food.
