Combating transnational kleptocracy – Westminster

This spring, IPPR will host a major conference on combating transnational kleptocracy.

This conference will consider, working with counterparts in the US and EU, what a commensurate and coordinated strategy against kleptocracy would entail. We will explore several themes, including:

• Corporate and capital flow transparency
• British Overseas Territories and offshore finance
• Reputation laundering and political influence
• Regulation in key industries (private investment, real estate, arts trade)
• Co-ordinating with democratic allies
